2020-spring Linux Training Session#

Warning

Due to the coronavirus outbreak we are forced to cancel the Linux training session of 30 March 2020. We hope to schedule a new date later on this academic year, possibly online. We’ll keep you informed.

The HPC team of the VUB-ULB Shared ICT Services Centre (SISC) is pleased to announce the next Linux training session:

It will be a hands-on introductory course focusing on young and/or early stage researchers (Doctoral students, Master thesis students) with practical sessions on using Linux command line. The objective is to acquire the basic knowledge required to work in HPC environments.

No prior Linux experience is required. For practical reasons, the Hydra cluster will be used throughout the course.

Attending the training session is free but you must register using the following online registration form.

Practical information: each registration form provides information and preliminary requirements for attending the sessions. Please read them carefully and make sure to be ready prior to the sessions.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptop (PCs are available for users who don’t have one).

Sandwiches and drinks will be provided at lunch time.

Contact the HPC team via hpc@vub.be if you need additional information or help.

For additional or more advanced HPC courses, please see the training sites of VSCwebTraining and CECI
