    We are pleased to announce our annual on-site introductory training sessions, held at the Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering Campus (Elsene).

  • 05/10 - 14/10/2026: VSC training: Getting Scientific Software Installed

    On Wednesday, 14 October 2026, VSC is organizing a training session in which we will present various well-established tools and techniques for getting scientific software installed. After this session, researchers will be able to select the right tool for their use case and efficiently get started with installing the software required for their scientific workloads.

  • 18/08 - [live updates] VUB HPC clusters moving to Research Park Zellik

    Hydra and Anansi will move to the data center in the Research Park Zellik on the week of September 7th. The clusters will be fully shut down on Monday September 7th at midnight and reopen to users a week later, on Monday September 14th.

  • 17/07 - System update rollout on Hydra and Anansi

    We are updating the operating system on Hydra and Anansi with the latest security and bug fixes. The rollout will start on Saturday July 18th at 03:00 CEST and will be gradually carried out in the coming days. This operation has a minimal impact on our users: compute capacity will be slightly lower during the update, but there will be no downtime of the clusters and all job queues will remain operational.
