  • 27/01 - Upgrade to Rocky Linux 9.7

    We are upgrading the OS and Slurm scheduler on Hydra and Anansi starting Tuesday, January 27. The rollout will start Tuesday night. User impact is minimal: there will be no downtime, and your running or queued jobs will remain unaffected.

  • 19/12 - New command tool to recover lost data

    We have released a new command line tool called mysnapshots to help you restore files or directories from the storage snapshots. This tool can be used to recover lost items or to undo unwanted changes to existing ones. You can use mysnapshots in the login nodes of VUB-HPC clusters.

  • 04/12 - New GPU nodes for interactive use on Anansi

    We are happy to announce the immediate availability of 8 new GPUs on Anansi, our cluster for interactive and visualization workloads directly connected to VUB’s OnDemand web portal.

  • 24/11 - Upgrade of Hydra login nodes to Rocky 9

    On Tuesday, December 2, at 03:00 (CET), we will upgrade the login nodes to Rocky Linux 9. During this intervention, access to the terminal interface of Hydra (login.hpc.vub.be) will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes. Running and queued jobs will not be impacted.

  • 07/11 - Last goodbye to the Skylake partition

    The last skylake nodes will be decommissioned on Monday (November 10th) to make room for new GPU nodes.
